Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Trailer
On 30 July, the makers released the most-awaited Ramayana Trailer. The trailer opens with Ravana (Yash) arriving at a grand palace and knocking on its massive doors. When he is insulted and turned away, he uses his immense power to strike back and declares the beginning of "Ravana Raaj."
As fear spreads across the kingdoms and even the gods worry about the growing darkness, Lord Vishnu is born as Prince Ram, the son of King Dasharatha (Arun Govil) of Ayodhya.
The Ramayana trailer then shows Ram setting out on his first journey with his younger brother Lakshman (Ravi Dubey). Together, they fight powerful demons to protect sages and innocent people.
The story soon reaches one of the most important moments in the Ramayana. Because of a promise made to Queen Kaikeyi (Lara Dutta), King Dasharatha is forced to send Ram into 14 years of exile. Refusing to stay behind, Sita (Sai Pallavi) decides to accompany Ram into the forest, marking the beginning of their unforgettable journey.

Ramayana Cast Performance
One of the major highlights for numerous viewers was Yash as Ravana. His short appearance on screen was sufficient to thrill fans.
Ranbir Kapoor's depiction of Lord Rama split opinions among viewers. While many admired his composed and measured performance, some remained skeptical about his delivery of the dialogue.
Sai Pallavi makes a significant impact as Sita. Through her subtle charm and kindness, she imparts a serene sophistication to the character during the trailer's crucial scenes.
Ravi Dubey is portrayed as Lakshman, the brother of Lord Ram. Arun Govil, portraying King Dashratha, is depicted in a poignant scene as he chases after Ram and Lakshman during their departure from Ayodhya.
Rakul Preet Singh is seen as Raavan's sister, Shurpanakha who tries to seduce Lord Ram with her beauty. People also appreciate her look in the trailer.
Netizens Disappointed By Hanuman Ji’s Absence
The trailer provides a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Nevertheless, Sunny Deol, portraying Lord Hanuman in the grand mythological saga, is not seen even a single time.
The creators might have intentionally concealed Sunny Deol’s appearance to maintain the element of surprise for viewers. Hanuman is anticipated to be vital in the narrative, especially following Sita's kidnapping and throughout Lord Ram's expedition to Lanka.
The Ramayana trailer primarily centers on showcasing the clash between Ram and Ravana. It follows Ram’s banishment from Ayodhya, Raavan’s ascent in Lanka, and the occurrences that lead to their ultimate clash.

Although the absence of the Hanuman reveal has let down fans, it has heightened interest in Sunny Deol’s transformation. Shortly after the almost four-minute trailer was released in the early hours of Thursday (July 30), Adipurush started trending on X, as users made comparisons between the two high-budget adaptations of the Ramayana.
Adipurush, released in 2023, boasted one of the largest budgets in Indian cinema but faced significant criticism regarding its visual effects, dialogues, and character design. The teaser, especially, faced significant trolling, and the movie turned into one of Bollywood's most discussed mythological adaptations.

Ramayana Release Date
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is a two-part franchise which is made on a budget of Rs 4000 crore, according to reports.
