Mirzapur The Movie Teaser
On 25 June, the makers released Mirzapur The Movie teaser. The video, lasting two minutes and 22 seconds, depicts the conflicts for control in Mirzapur. We also see Jitendra Kumar as Bablu Pandit, a character initially portrayed by Vikrant Massey in the web series.
The video also presents new cast member Ravi Kishan. Though the new teaser doesn't reveal the storyline of the movie, it clearly places it within the realm of violence, bloodshed, and gang conflicts.
About Mirzapur Franchise
Launched in 2018, Mirzapur rapidly emerged as one of India's iconic OTT originals. Taking place in the chaotic realm of gangsters, politics, and power conflicts in Uttar Pradesh, the series centers on mafia boss Akhandanand ‘Kaleen’ Tripathi and his struggle for dominance over Mirzapur.
Across three seasons, the series developed a substantial fanbase due to its unforgettable characters, witty dialogue, and fierce rivalries. The third season turned into one of the largest releases for Prime Video, while the fourth season is now scheduled to release in theaters as a movie.
What We Can Expect From Mirzapur The Movie?
The teaser explains that this is an origin tale, taking place in 2018, prior to and concurrently with the events of season one. This indicates that Munna, who passed away at the end of season 2, is alive in this instance.
Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) fears that his son Munna isn't the perfect successor to his legacy. At the same time, the Pandit brothers - Ali Fazal and Jitendra - are charting their course to break down Munna's empire and establish themselves as the rulers of Mirzapur.
The teaser features various recognizable characters from the show, and presents a new role portrayed by Ravi Kishan, who has his own share of ‘Seetimaar Moments.’
