The news was revealed on February 3, accompanied by the first glimpse of the movie, which instantly generated enthusiasm among fans. This project represents a notable streaming milestone for both actors, as Deol makes his first major OTT appearance.
Sunny Deol & Akshaye Khanna Reunite After 29 Years
Bollywood stars Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna are ready to collaborate again after 29 years since Border. The two will appear together in the upcoming streaming title 'Ikka'.
The title was revealed on Tuesday during a special event organized by the streaming company Netflix. Nevertheless, neither of the actors attended the event as they were absent.
What Is Ikka All About?
The movie focuses on a renowned, principled lawyer, played by Sunny Deol, who is forced to defend a man charged with murder - a role by Akshaye Khanna, whose profession the lawyer had previously destroyed.
The legal struggle challenges ethical limits, as the attorney must employ every strategy, whether moral or not, to safeguard himself and his loved ones. The storyline guarantees emotional richness, dramatic conflict, and a high-stakes confrontation of philosophies, creating a mixture of legal complexities.
Ikka Release Date
Ikka is expected to debut on Netflix in 2026. Although the streaming service hasn’t specified an exact date, the teaser and initial glimpse have already sparked significant excitement on the web.
