Ramayana Trailer Postponed
The creators of Ramayana announced on Friday that the release of the film's trailer, initially set for today, has been postponed. Nonetheless, it was not the postponement that drew attention. Rather, it was a statement in the announcement that seemed to subtly allude to the student protests throughout India regarding the NEET exam leak.
The final statement released by producer Namit Malhotra alluded to the country's youth in light of the ongoing student protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
Is Ramayana Cast Back Students During Ongoing Protest?
Neither Malhotra nor any cast members of the film, such as Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Sai Pallavi, have made explicit remarks regarding the current student protests.
While many Bollywood celebrities such as Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta have supported the movement, the Ramayana team has remained silent regarding the matter.
About The Jantar Mantar Protest
The student protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, organized by CJP, arose after the NEET 2026 paper leak and has evolved into a broader movement addressing ongoing examination irregularities.

Students are requesting increased transparency and accountability in the examination process, more robust protections against paper leaks, thorough reforms, compensation for impacted candidates, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Sonam Wangchuk Ends 26 Days Hunger Strike
Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk also participated in the ongoing protest to support students. JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh met with Wangchuk at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where they delivered a written assurance from the government to the activist who was on a fast.
Wangchuk ended his fast late on Thursday night in the presence of two Union ministers. Sources indicate that the ministers informed Wangchuk that a new Bill, designed to enhance safeguards against examination paper leaks under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) framework, would be presented in Parliament next week.
PM Modi’s First Message On Paper Leak
PM Modi's announcement arrived during demonstrations by the Social Media Platform Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and opposition groups, along with calls for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
"We have made the decision to establish fast-track courts to guarantee quick and strict penalties for individuals connected to paper leaks."
"I have instructed the relevant authorities and officials to implement all essential measures in this matter."
The Prime Minister emphasized that this is one of several actions the government is taking to hold accountable those responsible for the paper leaks.
With a massive budget, grand cast, and Nitesh Tiwari’s vision, Ramayana remains one of the most awaited films. Fans now have to wait a little longer for the trailer reveal.
