The team behind Nagabandham has officially launched its trailer. Almost three years following his previous release, Abhishek Nama returns to the big screen, guiding audiences to a realm where history, mythology, and adventure intersect.
This thrilling trailer transports us through moments of intense battles, snakes, bloodshed, raging flames, and ample gold, authentically representing the genre and providing viewers a glimpse of what lies ahead.
What Is The Story Of Nagabandham?
Set amidst mythology, history, and fantasy, Nagabandham centers on a magical treasure thought to be linked to Lord Anantha Padmanabha Swamy. Concealed in the heart of the Himalayas, the revered treasure attracts the attention of a formidable foe motivated by avarice.

While sinister powers aim to seize it, a selected protector must emerge to defend the gem and maintain equilibrium between light and darkness.

Fighter Villain Rishabh Sawhney Will Be Seen In Dual Role
Fighter star Rishabh Sawhney is gearing up for his upcoming major film, Nagabandham, scheduled to debut in summer 2026. In this film, he portrays the formidable and merciless historical figure Ahmad Shah Abdali.

Following his role as Azhar Akhtar in Fighter, Rishabh is prepared to face an even greater challenge. In Nagabandham, he will appear in a dual role. The narrative merges history, action, and reincarnation, allowing him to exhibit various aspects of his acting abilities.
To get ready for this part, Rishabh practiced sword fighting for a year. A source familiar with the production reveals, “The creators were eager to maintain the authenticity of the action in Nagabandham; Rishabh Sawhney underwent a year of sword fighting training for Nagabandham.”
He has invested extensive hours to perfect the technique and detail, adding authenticity to his portrayal of Abdali.
Box Office Clash
As usual, Nagabandham is not the only release scheduled to release on 3 July. There are multiple releases which include Sharvari Wagh and Alia Bhatt’s Alpha (Hindi), Huma Qureshi’s Baby Do Die Do (Hindi), Varavu (Malayalam), and others.
Nagabandham appears to be an ambitious blend of mythology, fantasy, and action. If the film delivers on the scale promised in the trailer, it could become one of the biggest Telugu spectacles of 2026.
