Maa Inti Bangaaram is an upcoming action-comedy drama centered around an unsuspecting newlywed woman residing with her husband in a conventional and traditional home.
As she seeks the approval of her doubtful in-laws, she hides a thrilling history and must confront perilous criminals to safeguard her family when her past resurfaces.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu Returns To Big Screens After 3 Years
Maa Inti Bangaram signifies Samantha’s comeback to theaters following the 2023 movies Shaakunthalam and Kushi. In 2024, she appeared in Raj & DK’s Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan. In 2025, the actress had a cameo role in Subham, which she also produced.
Along with Samantha, Maa Inti Bangaaram also features Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Gautami, Sreemukhi, and others.

Sai Pallavi Was The First Choice For Maa Inti Bangaaram
Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently posted a video in which she disclosed that director Nandini Reddy initially wrote the script with Sai Pallavi as the lead.
Nonetheless, because of her busy filming schedule, Sai Pallavi was unable to accept the project. The script was subsequently revised for Samantha. Reportedly, Samantha charged Rs 4-5 Crore in the film.
Box Office Clash
If we talk about movies releasing on 19 June 2026, there are few names which include Cocktail 2 (starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna), Cup Bashi (Marathi), Balan The Boy (Hindi), and many others.
Based on the storyline and updates so far, Maa Inti Bangaaram looks like a fun commercial entertainer with a strong female lead. Samantha’s character feels different from her previous roles, and if the makers balance action, comedy, and emotions well, the film could become one of the surprise hits of 2026.
