Debuting in cinemas on July 25, Mahavatar Narsimha narrates Prahlad’s loyalty to Lord Vishnu and the emergence of the powerful avatar, Narsimha, in opposition to his father, the demon monarch Hiranyakashipu. The movie is inspired by the Vishnu Purana, Narasimha Purana, and Shrimad Bhagavata Purana, emphasizing the strength of belief and divine assistance.

Supported by Kleem Productions and Hombale Films, Mahavatar Narsimha is the first installment in the envisioned Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, drawing inspiration from the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. Upcoming films in the series are Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), and Mahavatar Kalki (2035–2037).

Mahavatar Narsimha OTT Details

One of the year's biggest launches, Mahavatar Narsimha, is ready to debut on Netflix beginning Friday, September 19, 2025. The creators revealed the OTT release. "Bhakti shakti ka aakar le legi." Box Office Collection Of Mahavatar Narsimha 

When the film ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ debuted, it generated minimal hype and had a sluggish beginning at the box office. Nonetheless, filmmaker Ashwin Kumar's directorial project has made its mark in the history of the Indian film industry by surpassing the Rs 250 crore milestone on its 53rd day in theaters.

The movie earned Rs 11 lakh on its 50th day, experiencing over a 100% increase on the 51st day, where it gathered Rs 26 lakh, and on the 52nd day, the earnings surged by more than 60% to reach Rs 43 lakh, elevating the total collection of the film to Rs 249.95 crore. On its 53rd day this Monday, September 15th, the film earned Rs 6 lakhs, bringing its total collection to Rs 250.01 crore.

The film came out on July 25th, merely a week following Mohit Suri’s Saiyara, which unexpectedly turned into a generational success. The film, despite facing tough competition from projects such as Rajinikanth’s Coolie, Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR’s War 2, is holding its own against Lokah- Chapter 1- Chandra, which is in its third week and performing well.

First Highest Grossing Animated Movie In Hindi Cinema

‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ debuted in several languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The primary contribution to the film's revenue came from the Hindi version, which made Rs 187.53 crore in 53 days and has now become the 50th highest-grossing film ever in Hindi cinema and 1st highest grossing animated movie.

Conversely, the Kannada version has generated Rs 9.87 crore, the Telugu version ranks second with Rs 49.14 crore, the Tamil version has amassed Rs 2.91 crore, and the Malayalam version is the lowest with Rs 56 lakh.

With its mix of devotion, power, and storytelling, Mahavatar Narsimha has set a new benchmark for animated cinema. Truly, a roar that will be remembered!
