What Is September 21 Movie About?
September 21 focuses on an Alzheimer's sufferer who thinks his wife is isolated next door because of COVID-19, while his distant son comes back home caught between personal aspirations and responsibility.

In the September 21 trailer, Pravin Singh Sisodia portrays a father named Raj who has dementia. He is talking to his friend Sam (played by Amit Behl) that sometimes he forgets things.
Further, Raj’s son (Ricky Rudra) asks his uncle Ajith Shidhaye to shift his father to the care centre but Raj doesn’t want that. They forcefully tried to shift him but Raj’s friend Sam stopped them by saying, “What are you doing Deepak, he is our friend. He doesn’t want to go then why are you forcing him”?

Karen Kshiti’s September 21 Box Office Competition
As we said, Karen Kshiti Suvarna’s movie September 21 scheduled to release on 22 May 2026. Along with this, there are several Bollywood movies which are scheduled to be released on the same date.
The list includes Chand Mera Dil (starring Lakshya and Ananya Panday), Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai (Pooja Hegde, Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur), and Tera Yaar Hoon Main (Aman Indra Kumar & Aakanksha Sharma).
Earlier, Bobby Deol’s film Bandar was also scheduled to release on 22 May 2026 in theaters. But due to multiple releases, the film is now postponed to June 5. Well, the movie will face tough competition from KGF star Yash’s Toxic which will release on 4 June.
September 21 looks like a heartfelt film with a strong emotional core. Its Cannes premiere makes it even more special to watch.
