Super Subbu Trailer
Netflix is all set to launch its first Telugu series ‘Super Subbu’ on 2 July 2026. On 24 June 2026, the makers released the Super Subbu Trailer on social media. The trailer follows Subramanyam "Subbu" Chillukuri Rao, assigned to the one location where nobody wants to go: the infamous (and completely made-up) village of Maakipur.
He is intent on maintaining his reputation with his family and comes prepared to instruct, only to be given the village’s most uncomfortable task of teaching sex education.
Maakipur is populated with quirky personalities, and each miscommunication increases the chaos and humor, leaving you curious about how Subbu will escape the situation.

Telugu Series Super Subbu Cast
Netflix’s new Telugu series Super Subbu features an ensemble cast which includes Sundeep Kishan as Subramanyam Chillukuri Rao (aka Subbu), and Mithila Palkar in the lead roles.

Discussing his role as Super Subbu, Sundeep Kishan remarked, “Super Subbu addresses a topic that many people shy away from and tackles it with humor, sincerity, and heart.”
Subbu is a person who begins by addressing a single issue and unexpectedly finds himself confronted with five additional ones.
He explained, “From workplace failures and issues in relationships to attempting to maintain his reputation with his father and accidentally antagonizing the locals, he’s always in hot water." What makes him so lovable is that he consistently has good intentions, even when chaos is unfolding.
Is Super Subbu Worth Watching?
After watching the Super Subbu trailer, I feel the series looks genuinely entertaining and different from regular Telugu comedies. Sundeep Kishan fits the role perfectly, and the village setting, awkward situations, and light-hearted humor make it feel like a fun binge-watch.
If the writing stays sharp across all seven episodes, Super Subbu could become one of Netflix’s most loved Telugu originals.
