What Is Kannada Movie Koragajja All About?

The upcoming multilingual movie Koragajja, directed by Sahitya Akademi Award-winning writer Sudheer Attavar, is preparing for its release. It explores the narrative of Koragajja, a key deity revered in the Karavali (Tulu Nadu) area of Karnataka.

Taking place roughly 800 years ago, the film is said to delve into the transformative path of an indigenous young person from the 12th century who develops into the sacred figure of Koragajja. According to the creators, its storyline is enhanced with aspects of local culture and legends, featuring the Bhoota Kola—a ceremonial dance that resembles the shamanistic display prominently showcased in the hit Kannada movie Kantara.

Koragajja Release Date

After Kantara: Chapter 1, another movie inspired by the culture and heritage of coastal Karnataka is preparing for its release. Director Sudheer Attavar’s Koragajja, produced by Trivikram Sapalya via Success Films and Trivikram Cinemas, is poised for a major Pan-India release in six languages, with the crew aiming for a theatrical launch on 02 Jan 2026.

Earlier, it was scheduled to release on November 28, 2025 but due to some unknown reasons, the makers of the film postponed the film.

Director Sudheer Attavar Speaking On The Film

During the grand event, director Sudheer Attavar mentioned that the film's journey started three years prior and was completed after overcoming numerous challenges. Created by Trivikram Sapalya and featuring National Award-winning producer Vidyadhar Shetty as the executive producer, the film, he stated, was made uncompromisingly.

Koragajja Movie Songs

Koragajja includes 31 tracks created by Gopi Sundar, performed by artists from various parts of India. The narrative follows the spiritual path of Koragajja, who achieved divinity more than twenty years ago.

Recently the makers released a song called ‘Guliga Gulia’ from the film. The song crosses 7M Views and gets positive response across all social media platforms.

Koragajja promises a visually rich and culturally powerful experience that celebrates tradition on a grand scale. As its release approaches, expectations are clearly running high across regions.
