Bryan Fuller & Mads Mikkelsen Reunites For Dust Bunny
Fans of Hannibal will experience a reunion this year, although it won't be the one they anticipate. Bryan Fuller, the television creator known for Hannibal and Pushing Daisies, is collaborating with Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Doctor Strange) for his first feature film as a director, Dust Bunny.
In Hannibal, Mikkelsen portrayed the infamous cannibal murderer famously recognized for his role in The Silence of the Lambs, where he was played by Anthony Hopkins. Fuller's television series enhanced the character, adding more complexity throughout its three seasons — although some fans continue to wish for a fourth.

In Dust Bunny, Mikkelsen will assume a different type of character, exchanging his taste for murdering and consuming other humans for something slightly more benevolent: utilizing his assassin talents to assist in defeating monsters.
What Is Dust Bunny All About?
The movie stars Sophie Sloan as Aurora, a girl convinced that a monster resides under her bed. Although we, the audience, have limited information, we discover that she has been placed with several foster families due to them being devoured by this creature (as stated by Aurora).
In order to confront this being, Aurora becomes intrigued by her enigmatic neighbor (Mads Mikkelsen), whom she trails one night and observes as he battles a dragon (in truth, she only glimpses Mikkelsen’s character engaging with several individuals dressed in a Chinese dragon outfit).
Seeing him as a monster killer (even though he’s merely an ordinary assassin), Aurora thinks he can eliminate her monster for her. Nevertheless, additional challenges emerge as the assassin's career starts to deteriorate.
Is The Dust Bunny Truly the Scariest Film Ever Made?
One of the major questions regarding this horror film is if it is frightening or not. Dust Bunny doesn't seem to significantly impact even the most sensitive emerging horror enthusiasts. When significant effects sequences were occurring, my focus shifted to examining the visual aspects rather than experiencing any of the fear-based emotions that should arise from them.

That being said, there is much to appreciate about this movie in general, despite a few loose narratives and mild scares. The film's unique style, the main performances, and our takeaway from Aurora's journey make Dust Bunny distinctively enjoyable.
Dust Bunny Release Date
Upcoming English Movie Dust Bunny is all set to release in theaters on 5 December 2025. After almost 30 years in the entertainment field, it's wonderful to witness what Fuller is like off-screen with his own feature.
The outcome is a film that combines an assassin narrative with a tone suitable for children, aligning perfectly with Fuller’s style. With a talent for the surreal and whimsical, it's clear how Fuller's first feature could turn into a cult classic just as his series have.
