According to the latest reports, the movie is a small-town story with a social message. Reports indicate that Vicky and Sara will appear as husband and wife wanting a home of their own away from their joint family. The couple will be shown using the flagship show of the Indian government, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), to find a home and the drama that unfolds to be eligible for the show is what constitutes the crux of the story. By using PMAY as a backdrop, manufacturers want to send an important message in a lighter way.

The film was reportedly first shown to Ayushman Khurrana. However, things did not work out and Vicky Kaushal was tied up. The script for the film was closed a few months ago. The film will begin on November 15 and will be shot in Ujjain and Gwalior in Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister Awas Yojana launched in 2015 with the idea of 'House for All'. The plan helps the homeless by building green homes for people belonging to low-income families, middle-income groups, and economically weaker sectors. The government led by Narendra Modi has proposed the construction of 2 million homes for the urban poor by 2022.
