The property cell of Mumbai Crime Department has arrested Raj Kundra, the famous businessman and husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra in connection with a porn fraud case busted by Mumbai Police in February. The authorities said that the police arrested a total of nine accused in the case.

In February, the Criminal Branch registered a case of creating pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. After investigation, we have arrested Raj Kundra in the case, as he appears to be the main conspirator in this matter. "We have sufficient evidence on this case," the Mumbai police press release said.

On Monday, Kundra was summoned for questioning, after which he was arrested. Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagril said, “We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on Monday as he appears to be the main conspirator in this matter. We have sufficient evidence in this regard. Investigation is ongoing.”
Earlier, the property cell had arrested Umesh Kamat who had claimed in his statement that he used to work in the company of Kundra. Kamat lives in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and her name came to light during an interrogation of model and actress Gehna Vashisht , who was arrested on February 6. Kamat was working for a UK-based company as a coordinator, and he used to take obscene videos of Vashisht and send those videos to the UK-based company which then used to upload them to an app called "hotshots" the police officer said.

The scam was busted on February 4, when an officer from the estate cell raided a one-story house in Mada district, Malad (West) and arrested five accused of their alleged involvement in seducing young women and men under the pretext of offering roles in a web series. And a short film. Looks like they were forced to act in a porn movie.
The obscene videos were then uploaded to mobile apps and other porn sites by the accused. At first, the police arrested people during a raid. Among those arrested was Roa Khan, better known as Jasmine, who claimed to be a producer and director. After being questioned, actress Gehna Vashisht was also found to be involved in creating and uploading obscene videos on the mobile application, and she was also arrested in the case. Police confiscated several tools worth Rs. 5.68 lakh were used for the shooting in the bungalow, including the cell phones of the accused. During the investigation, the police learned that Khan runs a mobile application "HotHit Movies" where he uploads pornographic videos.
