Delhi Recorded Lowest Single Day Cases In Over a Year, Only 45 Corona Positive Cases

Coronavirus latest news yesterday, Delhi recorded 45 cases of Covid-19, the lowest increase in a day in more than a year, and three deaths, while the positivity rate was 0.08 percent, according to the bulletin of the Department of Health.

According to covid19India.org, a collective initiative that collects data on COVID-19 and vaccination in India, Delhi recorded 17 cases on April 15 last year.

Delhi has recorded 1,435,128 cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began last year. More than 14.09 lakh patients have recovered so far. The bulletin stated that the number of dead reached 25,018

On Sunday, Delhi recorded 53 cases, with a positive rate of 0.07 percent, and three deaths. As of Saturday, the city has recorded 76 cases with a 0.19 percent positive rate and one death. On Friday, the national capital recorded 81 cases of COVID-19, with a positive rate of 0.11 percent and three deaths.

According to the bulletin, up to 244 people are in home isolation in Delhi, while the number of containment areas is 526.

He said there are 693 active cases in the city.

A total of 55,019 tests were performed the day before, including 43,661 RT-PCR tests.

Delhi has faced a brutal second wave of the pandemic that is claiming huge numbers of people daily. The rapid increase in the number of cases caused a lack of medical oxygen in several hospitals in the city.

As of April 20, the city has reported 28,395 record cases. On April 22, the positive case rate was 36.2 percent, the highest ever. The highest number of deaths was reported on May 3 at 448.
