Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi's husband, director Raj Kaushal, has passed away at the age of 49. The writer, director and director passed away on Wednesday morning, after suffering a severe heart attack. Bollywood actor Rohit Roy confirmed the news, “Raj passed away this morning around 4.30 am, suffering from a heart attack. He was at home when the family managed to get medical help, Raj was gone.” His wife Mandira Bedi and their children Veer and Tara survived.
His funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at Shivaji grounds in Mumbai. Rohit's brother Ronit Roy and bollywood actor Ashish Chaudhry were among those who paid their last respects to the director.
Rohit also posted an emotional note saying goodbye to the director. "So he left, without even saying goodbye. Too numb in pain and shock to react. That's not fair, it's not fair," he wrote.

Director Oneer, who collaborated with Raj on “My Brother Nikhil”, also expressed his shock at the director's death: "He left so early. We lost director and producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very sad. He was one of the producers of my first movie #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed By seeing us and supporting us. Prayers for his soul.”
Neha Dhupia, Ashish Chaudhry, Anupam Kher, Roni Scrovala, Sudhir Mishra and others also mourned the death of bollywood director Raj Kaushal. Neha shared a recent photo from a meeting where Raj and Mandira Bedi appeared. "I can't believe you're not with us anymore. Mandira, my strong, strong girl, I am speechless. My heart belongs to Veer and Tara. I am shocked, shocked and in disbelief as I write this," she tweeted.

Ashish Chaudhry, who considers Raj Kaushal as his older brother, wrote an emotional note: “My elder brother, my guiding light, happiness quotient, spoiled person is gone. Raj is survived by his wife Mandira, son Veer and daughter Tara. The writer, director and producer has directed three films in his career: Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi, Shadi Ka Ladu and Anthony Kaun Hai. He started his career as a copywriter. In movies, he started with the help of Mukul Anand, including Subhash Ghai's Trimurti.

He founded his own advertising production company in 1998 and later directed more than 800 commercials. Mandira and Raj married in 1999. They welcomed their son Veer in 2011 and adopted their 4-year-old daughter Tara last year.
