Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's fans support her against the hate on her Instagram post

With the Met Gala and Cannes Film Festival taking place on consecutive days, our Instagram and Facebook feeds were filled with memes based on the actors' appearances. From Priyanka Chopra's detailed hood to Deepika Padukone in her pink ruffled fuschia dress, the Internet has spared no one.

Though one thing that left us surprised was the hate Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got for posting a picture with her daughter Aaradhya. The Former Miss World recently who steered away from social media made her Instagram debut just last week. The actress who in the span of just 7 days already has short of 3 million followers, does not shy away from publicly displaying her love for her daughter Aaradhya.

Aishwarya even made her Instagram debut with a series of pictures dedicated to the birth of her daughter which was described as "And I was born... again." On the occasion of Mothers Day, Mrs Bachchan posted an adorable picture of her kissing her 5-year-old (on the lips) with a heartfelt caption - "LOVE YOU UNCONDITIONALLY Happiest Mama in the World." While a lot of people saw it as a sweet portrayal of motherly love, Aishwarya Rai received a lot of hate for this picture.

The comments ranged from “spoiling Indian culture by kissing her daughter on the lips” to "I don't know about others but kissing 5-6 years old children on lips seems weird to me. Yuck." Some people even went to the extent of saying "Sexually abuse children" to "Bacchi ke saath sex not good." People corrupted this pure emotion by calling her names like "lesbian" and calling the post a "porn video."

However, instead of Aishwarya jumping in to defend herself, her fans jumped in and saved the day. They tried to put some sense in the trolls and change their orthodox mindsets. Giving their personal experiences, they also explained how it is, in fact, a normal thing and one must not make a mountain out of a molehill.

Thank you, Superfans!
