The trailer of Sanju sure made us all marvel with wonder, Sanjay Dutt's life is no less than a roller coaster! Touted to be one of the biggest and most-awaited movies of the year, Sanju has us all waiting to see how Rajkumar Hirani has captured the controversial life of Dutt. While Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in to play the role of the protagonist, the other people in his life are also being played by the who's who of the industry.
Let's take a look at the primary cast of the movie.
1. Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt
Rajkumar Hirani believes that Ranbir is perfect for this role. And we couldn't agree more! From the mere 2-3 minutes we've seen in the trailer, the major reason we'll be flocking to the cinema to watch this biopic will be to see how well Ranbir has portrayed the character.
2. Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt
The actor turned politician will be played by Paresh Rawal. We can't wait to see how he acts as the senior Dutt.
3. Manisha Koirala as Nargis Dutt
Manisha Koirala who has too suffered from ovarian cancer as Nargis (who suffered from pancreatic cancer), is playing the role of his mother. Manisha and Sanjay have worked together on screen in a couple of movies.
4. Dia Mirza as Maanyata Dutt
After two failed marriages, Sanjay Dutt married Maanyata Dutt in 2008 post 2 years of courtship. Happily married with 2 twin daughters, Dia Mirza will be playing this integral role.
5. Vicky Kausal as Kumar Gaurav
The brother-in-law duo's friendship goes way back in time. Besides giving us a memorable movie, Kumar Gaurav is also married to Sanjay's sister Namrata. The Raazi actor Vicky Kaushal will step in Gaurav's shoes.
