Cristiano Ronaldo makes history and breaks all records with his hat-trick against Spain in the 2018 FIFA World Cup!

A match that surely broke many records in the history of football was the one where Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hattrick against Spain which made the match a draw where Portugal and Spain both scored 3-3. He now has become the oldest player in the history of football to score a hattrick. The match was held on Friday in their opening match of FIFA World Cup 2018 Group B in Russia. The player who became the first in history to score a hattrick against Spain in both the World Cup or the Euros scored twice in the first half to give his side a lead of 2-1 but then the score was equalized by Diego Costa when he scored a goal in both the halves before Nacho Fernandez who put the 2010 World Cup champions in the lead on the 58th minute of the game. The match then finally ended in a draw all thanks to the free kick which served as a late shot to save the game for Portugal making it a draw.

The 33-year-old star player who is Real Madrid’s forward now has 84 goals in 151 international appearances for Portugal in his name and is also the only man in history to score goals in eight consecutive major tournaments. After Deco vs Iran in 2006, this is Portugal’s second World Cup goal from outside the box. Another record which he broke was becoming the second person to score two goals from Portugal’s side after Eusébio’s record that took place in 1966 where the match was held against North Korea.
