We Bury The Dead: A Zombie Horror Coming Soon With a Chilling Twist

What if the dead didn’t return to hunt the living… but to finish unfinished business? Sounds chilling, right?

Zombie Horror We Bury The Dead taps into this unsettling idea and flips the zombie genre on its head.

With Daisy Ridley leading the story, the film doesn’t rush into bloodshed - it builds tension through mystery, silence, and the fear of what we don’t fully understand.

This isn’t just about survival! it’s about grief, truth, and the terrifying cost of knowing too much.

We Bury The Dead Trailer

We caught a trailer for the Zombie Horror a few weeks ago, but now, here’s a lengthier, more informative, and action-filled glimpse at We Bury the Dead.

There are several points to address here. The most remarkable aspect is that, in this world, although a massive catastrophe appeared to eliminate the majority of the Earth's population, most of them are actually simply deceased.

Nevertheless, the small number that aren't deceased, the select few that come back from the grave, the zombies, have a purpose for their return.

The trailer indicates they have unresolved matters. The press statement asserts, “the deceased don’t merely come back—they pursue.” As the pursuit continues, the beings become quicker and more perilous.

What Is We Bury The Dead All About?

Daisy Ridley plays Ava, a woman seeking closure regarding her missing husband, who was present when the incident occurred.

Ava becomes part of a cleanup team that visits various homes to find and retrieve victims for their burial. Sometimes they come across a survivor who is in a trance-like condition. The officials maintain that they are mentally absent and need teams to launch flares to allow them to “turn them off.”

Ava starts to believe that much more is happening than what they’ve been informed and escapes containment with her colleague Clay (Brenton Thwaites) as they hurry to a forbidden zone where Ava’s husband was last located.

Peril and enigma surround Ava and Clay as they discover that reality is not entirely as they've been informed and that the truth is significantly more intricate than they understood. The Zombie Horror film employs a gradual build-up and mostly steers clear of the heavy gore typical of other films in the genre.
