War 2 is scheduled to be released in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—on August 14, 2025.

Hrithik Roshan: Resuming his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, Hrithik Roshan re-establishes the charm and gravity that helped War become a box office hit in 2019.This time, it is said that Roshan’s fee is fixed at Rs. 48 crore, exceeding the earnings of his earlier movies with Yash Raj Films. Hrithik Roshan's comeback guarantees that the sequel maintains the spirit of its initial triumph.
Kiara Advani: Kiara Advani will make her debut in the thrilling YRF spy universe, starring alongside Hrithik Roshan as his romantic partner. In a role anticipated to be crucial, the actress is allegedly receiving Rs. 15 crore – her largest earnings so far, signaling an important achievement in her profession.
Hrithik & NTR’s Dance Number
Everyone in the country is excitedly anticipating War 2, which is the biggest tentpole film for 2025. Aditya Chopra knows that everyone is watching the dance performance by NTR and Hrithik. He wants to keep building interest and anticipation for the music until it is released, rather than giving out the whole thing for free. As planned, his goal is to draw audiences to War 2 so they may see Hrithik and NTR dance together on the big screen.
This is a typical Aditya Chopra approach. He retained the top song from Bunty Aur Babli, Kajre Re, before its release, and audiences were amazed to see it in cinemas. He secured all the tracks from Dhoom 3, and audiences went wild for them in cinemas, much like how Kamli took off.

He desires audiences to visit theaters to see it, and he hopes they will return repeatedly to experience it further, as it will not be accessible online. Aditya Chopra prioritizes foot traffic and ticket sales as he navigates the box office landscape for War 2.
War 2 Advance Booking
Ten days before its release, pre-sales for YRF's next spy thriller War 2 started in the international market. Nearly a day after pre-sales launched in the US for War 2, the Telugu version appears to have gained some momentum, while the Hindi version is significantly trailing.
An examination of prominent ticketing platforms such as Movie For Tickets reveals that the majority of major theatres showing the Hindi version have not sold any tickets for the Wednesday premieres.
Industry insiders claim that YRF is releasing War 2 (in Hindi) for paid previews on 900 screens in the US. Telugu 360 stated that by Sunday morning, merely 1600 tickets had been sold among those 900 venues, indicating that numerous halls are vacant.
If War 2 wins this battle at the box office, it won't just recover its cost—it’ll redefine what success looks like for Indian action films.
