Prem Keetanu Trailer Out
The Prem Keetanu trailer released on Tuesday, September 22, and it wastes no time throwing you straight into the chaos. Set against the lively, slightly chaotic backdrop of Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi-NCR belt, including Delhi and Gurugram, this romantic comedy blends youthful drama, friendship, and a whole lot of confused love into one packed trailer.
Veer Pahariya plays Vishal, your classic backbencher college student - the kind who bunks classes, shows up late to parties, and generally treats college as more of a social event than an academic one. He falls for Suhani, played by Aafiya Sayed, who's making her Bollywood debut with this film. But there's a catch: Aparshakti Khurana's character, Ranjeet, is also chasing the same girl, and he's playing a smarter game, working hard to win over her family instead.
Things get messy fast. At one point, Vishal casually tells Suhani, "Tumhe toh dono laundo ko ghumana hai," and later, he and Ranjeet actually get into a physical fight over her. The Prem Keetanu trailer even ends on a cheeky nod to Anil Kapoor's iconic Majnu Bhai from Welcome, which is a fun little touch for anyone who grew up on that film.
What Is Prem Keetanu About?
At its core, this romantic comedy is about the mess that young love creates when more than one person falls for the same person at the same time. Vishal's easy-going, carefree college life gets turned upside down the moment Ranjeet enters the picture as competition, and what follows is a story full of friendship, humour, and the kind of emotional confusion that comes with being young and in love with no idea what to do about it.

Is Prem Keetanu a Remake of Premalu?
Before the Prem Keetanu trailer even dropped, the film had already found itself at the centre of some controversy. Reports had linked it to the 2024 Malayalam romantic comedy Premalu, with some claiming it was an official adaptation, especially after the original film reportedly disappeared from a streaming platform around the same time. Veer Pahariya has since clarified that Prem Keetanu is not a remake of Premalu, putting those comparisons to rest, at least officially.
The Cast and Crew
Alongside Veer Pahariya, Aafiya Sayed, and Aparshakti Khurana, the film also features Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay in supporting roles.
