What Is The Story Of Newton's 3rd Law?
Set in Hyderabad, the story kicks off in 1999, when a young man named Vinay dies in what's initially recorded as an accident. Decades later, that case resurfaces, and investigator Vasu Dev takes it up, quickly realising nothing about it adds up the way it was originally filed.
As he digs deeper, Vasu uncovers that Vinay's death was no accident at all, but a calculated murder, and the trail leads him straight to Stephen Mercury, a ruthless smuggler with far more to hide than one death.
True to its title, the film builds its entire narrative around the idea that every action carries a consequence, weaving crime, family and karma into a single chain reaction that spans decades.
It's less about a single explosive reveal and more about watching consequences catch up with people who thought they'd outrun them. For anyone who enjoys a slow-building Telugu crime thriller that trusts its audience to follow along without constant hand-holding, this is squarely built for you.

Newton's 3rd Law Review
Reviews for this Telugu crime thriller have landed on a fairly consistent note, solid but unspectacular. Critics have generally praised the film for staying disciplined and refusing to oversell its twists, letting the mystery unfold at a controlled, minimalistic pace rather than chasing melodrama.
Sumanth's performance as the investigator has been singled out as convincing and well-written, and Shelly N. Kumar's portrayal of a grieving mother has also drawn specific praise for its restraint.
Where the reviews grow more mixed is on emotional impact. Several critics felt that despite a handful of genuinely surprising twists, the film doesn't quite land the dramatic punch it seems to be building toward.
It's being described less as a knockout thriller and more as a competent, well-executed one that plays it safe when it has room to go further.

Should You Watch It?
If you enjoy patient, procedural-style thrillers over flashy, high-octane ones, Newton's 3rd Law is worth the watch, particularly for Sumanth and Jagapathi Babu's performances.
Just don't go in expecting a huge emotional gut-punch by the end, most reviews agree the journey is stronger than the destination.
