The story follows Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter (Maya) in the very house she grew up in. Life seems ordinary enough until she realises she can slip into The Further, that eerie astral dimension where lost souls and demons have been lurking since the very first Insidious film. But here's the twist that sets this sequel apart from the rest of the franchise: Gemma doesn't just visit The Further, she can pull whatever lives there back into our world. Once the demons figure out what she's capable of, her home stops being a safe space and turns into their playground.
