What is the story of the Telugu movie Irumudi?
Trinath, portrayed by Ravi Teja, is an ordinary banana vendor residing in a distant hillside village named Polluru. He has a daughter who is 10 years old and whom he truly loves. All fathers cherish their daughters, yet Trinath elevates it to an extraordinary extent. Even when she just moves on from fifth grade, he celebrates it as if it were a graduation.
Above all, Trinath instills in his daughter a fundamental belief from a tender age: always embrace the truth and never shy away from expressing it. In the meantime, a criminal group active in and around the village represents a significant danger to young girls. This crime/thriller song coincides with Trinath's poignant father-daughter narrative.Trinath is abruptly compelled to face an inconceivable scenario.
The central theme of Irumudi revolves around how the principle he instilled in his daughter throughout her life – to boldly express the truth – ultimately results in a challenging situation for both of them.

Telugu Movie Irumudi Review - Our POV
What Works:
- Ravi Teja gives a quiet, grounded performance that brings genuine weight to the character.
- The unforced chemistry between Ravi Teja and Baby Nakshathra gives the whole film its heart.
- Shiva Nirvana does a good job early on, building genuine tension around the hidden threat facing the village girls.
- G.V. Prakash Kumar’s score fits the mood well, and a major fight sequence set to the song "Mallepoola Pallaki" gives the second half a solid theatrical high.
What Doesn't Work:
- Once the central mystery gets revealed, the writing falls back on a few familiar beats, making the pacing drag slightly before the final stretch.
- Dealing with real-world dangers faced by young children gives the film a dark, uncomfortable tone that might be tough to watch for sensitive viewers.
