What Is Alpha About?
Featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, this Indian action thriller centers on two top assassins who are compelled to collaborate. Alia portrays Sita, an assassin trained to be merciless by her father (Bobby Deol).
She has to turn rogue and collaborate with another agent to dismantle her stepfather's illegal soldier initiative, maneuvering through huge twists and espionage.
Bobby Deol’s Performance In Alpha
Bobby Deol is an ex-army officer caring for a group of children, and this entire endeavor will remind you of a Stranger Things operation from Hawkins' Lab.
The only difference is that the children here are being groomed for the sake of the nation's well-being and safety! However, Bobby Deol’s accent is quite unusual, and once you hear it, you can't forget it!
The Little Sita (Alia Bhatt)
A young artist has been chosen to portray young Alia Bhatt. And she has been instructed to adjust her lips to one side, which she has mastered exceptionally! I just wish we could witness something more natural to complement Alia Bhatt!
Alpha Review - Audience POV

The story is fresh, emotional, and different from typical spy films, with an intense vibe like Dhurandhar The Revenge, a gripping entertainer that keeps you hooked throughout.”

What Works & What Doesn’t - Alpha Review
What Works:
- The film delivers a few well-shot action sequences that look stylish and keep the energy alive.
- Even though Bobby Deol’s accent feels odd at times, he still manages to bring menace and screen presence to the role.
- From the scale to the spy setup, Alpha has the visual polish expected from a YRF-backed action thriller.
- Sharvari gets her moments and performs well enough in the action-heavy portions.

What Doesn’t Work:
- For a spy thriller, the plot feels underwhelming and never fully grips you.
- The soundtrack fails to create the kind of excitement or emotional pull the film needed.
- The film tries to balance action with emotional drama, but those scenes don’t leave much impact.
- Some turns in the story feel predictable, which weakens the overall thrill factor.
In my opinion, Alpha is a one-time watch for action lovers. If you enjoy stylish spy thrillers, big-screen action, and watching Alia Bhatt in a different avatar, you can give it a try. But if you’re expecting a strong story-driven thriller, this one may leave you a little disappointed.
Alpha Advance Booking Collection
According to the reports, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s Alpha collected Rs 1.75 Crore through advance booking sales. The film is releasing alongside Huma Qureshi’s Baby Do Die Do.
Overall, Alpha works in parts because of its action and scale, but the story and music stop it from becoming a memorable spy thriller. If you enjoy stylish action films, you can give it a one-time watch.
