Ganesh Sharma is the real name of Santy Sharma. He is a lyricist, singer, and rapper from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, who primarily developed his career via independently released music online. He started posting songs on YouTube in 2016 and slowly built an audience with songs like Suni Suni Sadko, Udaan, Koshish Meri, The Valentine Song, Peeta Daaru, and Black Heart.
He released an album named Reborn as well. Reports have also connected Sharma to a Bollywood debut in Housefull 5, providing him greater exposure beyond the independent music scene.
On July 20, 2026, Santy Sharma shared a heartfelt post on Instagram after the removal of his YouTube channel. He asserted that the channel was the fruit of 11 years of hard work and chasing dreams. As per Santy, the channel was removed after his remarks on CJP became viral and provoked a huge backlash on social media platforms.
How Was The Controversy Started?
The debate started when a clip of Santy Sharma discussing the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) became popular on social networks. In the footage, he termed the situation "just online theater" and expressed his thoughts about politics in India today.
Sharma noted that the repercussions went beyond just online criticism. He subsequently stated that his YouTube channel had been deleted for good and that he was told it could not be recovered.

Santy Sharma Will Hold A Press Conference
Santy Sharma also updated his Instagram Stories, announcing that he will conduct a press conference on 1st August in Mumbai. He mentioned that he will address the "reality behind CJP" and will provide statements supported by facts and evidence.
