Ishqnama Trailer
The Punjabi Ishqnama trailer, featuring Shehnaaz Gill and Jai Randhawa, has been released, offering viewers an initial glimpse of an emotional romance based on true events.
The period romance, directed by Arvvindr S. Khaira, is scheduled to launch globally on July 24, 2026, in India, Canada, and the UK. Saurabh Sachdeva is also cast in an important role, offering a compelling blend of romance, emotions, and historical elements.
Is Ishqnama Based On A True Story?
Inspired by the celebrated book Hind Pak Bordernama, Ishqnama tells the true story of Nimma and Naseema. Taking place from 1981 to 1988 along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab, the movie portrays Nimma, a Sikh poet from Indian Punjab, and Naseema, a Muslim woman from Pakistani Punjab, as their love story develops amidst the enduring effects of Partition.

Enhancing the film's importance is the reality that Nimma is currently alive and living in India, while Naseema is thought to have eventually moved to England. It is said that efforts are in progress to locate her, transforming the narrative from merely a romance into one intricately linked to living history.
Shehnaaz Gill Spotted With Raghav Juyal
Shehnaaz Gill and Raghav Juyal recently sparked dating speculation when they were seen in proximity at Raghav’s recent birthday celebration.
Supporters couldn't stop discussing how he shielded Gill from the audience. A viral clip additionally featured Shehnaaz sitting on Raghav’s lap in a car prior to their departure from the venue.
Are Shehnaaz Gil & Raghav Juyal Dating?
During the interview, when asked about her relationship with Raghav, Shehnaaz graciously refused to address personal questions. "Please, no personal questions," she said firmly.
Instead, she shifted focus to showcase Raghav’s soon-to-be-released film, Bhai Tera Star Hai, stressing the significance of backing his efforts as he steps into a lead role.
