The wait is over! On Wednesday, July 16, a fresh teaser for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things—which will debut on Netflix on November 26—was released. Additionally, as the teaser had suggested, the final season of "Stranger Things" is expected to completely upend the world for fans.

What is Stranger Things Season 5 About?

Stranger Things' last season is set in the autumn of 1987. After the Rifts opened, Hawkins is still recovering, and the group's only goal is to locate and eliminate Vecna. But Vecna has disappeared, and no one knows where he is or what he’s planning.

To make things worse, the government has put Hawkins under military lockdown and is chasing Eleven again, forcing her to go into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance gets closer, a dark and scary feeling grows — hinting that a final, deadly battle is near. For this last fight, the whole team will need to stand together.

The creators, the Duffer Brothers, also shared that many mysteries about the Upside Down — written in a secret 25-page document back in Season 1 — will finally be revealed in Season 5. So get ready for answers, drama, and a grand finale!

Stranger Things 5 will premiere in three parts this fall: four episodes on November 26, three episodes on Christmas, and the final episode on New Year’s Eve. Every volume is released at 5 p.m. PST.

Stranger Things Season 5 will be released in three parts, and all episodes will stream on Netflix. Each volume will drop at 8 PM ET, which means Indian viewers can watch it at 5:30 AM IST the next day.

• Volume 2, with 3 episodes, will be available from Friday, December 26, 2025.
