Releasing Date

Vijay Sethupathi and Soori's film Viduthalai Part 2 premiered in theaters during the holiday season on December 20. Directed by Vetrimaaran, the film garnered favorable reactions from audiences following its launch. And now, almost a month following its theatrical release, the movie has finally landed on a popular streaming service.

Viduthalai Part 2 is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The OTT platform declared through its social media channels that both parts of the Vijay Sethupathi film can be viewed. They penned, "a hero or a villain?" Tune in to Vaathiyar as he narrates his tale #ViduthalaiOnPrime.

Once Perumal "Vaathiyaar" is apprehended, the authorities move him to a different camp with Kumaresan part of the group. Throughout the journey, Vaathiyaar recounts his history and discloses how an unintentional killing inspired him to become part of a communist movement and support armed struggle. He clarifies that the bombing of the train tracks was an unintended disaster and gains sympathy from several officers, including Kumaresan.

On the way, Vaathiyaar’s crew attacks the convoy and frees him. The police eventually trap him, and although he capitulates without resistance, the new leader orders his execution. While moving his body, Kumaresan crashes the truck close to a cliff and disappears into the woods. In a last letter to his mother, he says goodbye and expresses that he probably perished while fighting for what is right.

Viduthalai Part 2 cast

Viduthalai Part 2, helmed by Vetrimaaran, stars Vijay Sethupathi as Perumal "Vaathiyaar," the head of Makkal Padai, and Soori as Constable Kumaresan. Manju Warrier portrays Perumal's spouse, whereas Kishore features as his guide.

Bhavani Sre plays Tamilarasi, while Gautham Vasudev Menon features as DSP Sunil Menon I.P.S, with Rajiv Menon in the role of A. Subramaniyan IAS. Bose Venkat portrays a merciless landlord, Manobala acts as a station master, and Vincent Asokan plays the part of Mahalakshmi’s father. The script is written by Vetrimaaran and Manimaran, featuring dialogues by Thai. Kandasaamy, Manimaran, and Vetrimaaran.
