Sreeleela Officially Joins Dharman

Dharman, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, has officially introduced Sreeleela through a new promo. Sharing the update, the team wrote, “SHE’S GOT THE SPARK. SHE’S GOT THE PATAKA. Welcoming the gorgeous Sreeleela to Dharman.”

Her character details haven’t been revealed yet. The makers have only confirmed that she will play a key role in the Rajinikanth starrer, which suggests a meaningful part rather than a brief appearance.

Dharman Promo Details

The Dharman promo is co-produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI). It features a classical music track composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The classical score gives the announcement a different feel from the usual high-energy reveals for a Rajinikanth film. Fans have been sharing the promo widely, and it has added to the buzz around the Dharman cast.

What Is Dharman About?

The storyline is still under wraps. What is confirmed is that Dharman is an upcoming action entertainer in which Rajinikanth plays a stylish doctor.

A doctor who is also an action hero is a fresh setup for the superstar. It will be interesting to see how Ashwath Marimuthu blends the medical background with the mass moments fans expect from a Rajinikanth film.

Dharman Cast

Actor Ram Pothineni is reportedly expected to play the main antagonist, but the casting is unconfirmed and the makers haven’t made any official statement on it.

Nayanthara Reunites With Rajinikanth

Before Sreeleela’s announcement, the team officially welcomed Nayanthara into a key role, reuniting her with the superstar after five years. She has also recently joined the shoot.

Six films together make Nayanthara and Rajinikanth one of the most familiar pairings in Tamil cinema. Sreeleela’s entry adds a fresh face alongside them.

Dharman Release Date

Dharman is reportedly expected to hit theatres in Summer 2027, with shooting likely to wrap up by November 2026. Since the makers haven’t confirmed a date, treat Summer 2027 as a report for now. More promos and updates are likely as the shoot nears completion.

Rajinikanth’s Work Front

Rajinikanth was recently seen in the action-comedy Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. It is a sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. The film follows “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian as he sets out to dismantle an idol-trading network, leading to a major confrontation.

Jailer 2 Cast

With Jailer 2 out, Dharman is the next big film on the superstar’s list, and among the most awaited Rajinikanth upcoming movies in 2027.

Conclusion

With Sreeleela and Nayanthara on board, Dharman is shaping up as one of the most talked-about Tamil films heading into 2027. A stylish doctor role, Anirudh’s music and Kamal Haasan’s RKFI backing add to the buzz.

The makers still need to reveal the villain, the title look and an official release date. Fans will be waiting for the next update.
