COLDPLAY has heightened the enthusiasm of rock music fans by revealing its fourth concert in India. Following three performances in Mumbai in January next year for their 'Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025, the band is set to take the stage in Ahmedabad. The band announced in a post on social media platform X that tickets for the fourth show will go on sale on November 16.

2025 Ahmedabad date confirmed for COLDPLAY: The group is set to perform their largest show to date at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 25 January 2025." “The band announced in a post, ‘Tickets will be available for purchase on Saturday, 16 November, at 12pm IST.’”

The group has already revealed its three performances in Mumbai, set for January next year. It will feature songs from ‘Music of the Spheres’, fresh singles from ‘Moon Music’, and timeless classics.

The announcement prompted rock fans to quickly go online to purchase tickets, which sold out in under an hour on the ticketing site BookMyShow, leaving many fans frustrated. The chaos provided sellers a chance to earn substantial profits since tickets were sold at outrageous prices between Rs 2,500 and Rs 35,000.

As a result, a ticket reselling scam was revealed when multiple sellers stockpiled tickets to sell them at inflated prices. Following multiple complaints, the fraud caught the government's attention, prompting the Maharashtra police's cyber unit to instruct BookMyShow to implement stringent measures, such as selling name-based tickets.

An official remarked, that there's a growing number of complaints on social media and online forums regarding issues with booking tickets for prominent concerts and events via online platforms, with tickets being sold at ten times their original price. The fraud also made its way to the Bombay High Court as a public interest litigation (PIL) was submitted requesting the court’s assistance to prevent black marketing and ticket scalping.
