According to Girish Johar, producer and film business expert: “In a setback, ‘Fighter’ has been officially banned from being released in theaters in the Middle East. Only the United Arab Emirates will release the film with a PG15 rating! But the reason for the ban has not yet been revealed.

Although 'Fighter' has not received the green light from the censor board in Gulf countries, the air action thriller will hit Indian theaters on January 25.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. The film revolves around the Balakot air strike carried out by the Indian Armed Forces in the vicinity of the town of Balakot in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The terror attack led to the death of nearly 40 CRPF soldiers.
