After years of anticipation and speculation, the sequel to the 2012 action comedy is poised to become a reality next year. According to a source familiar with the matter, Ajay Devgn has harbored aspirations of transforming 'Son of Sardaar' into a franchise since the release of the first installment more than a decade ago. Several concepts were explored in the past to extend the story of Jassi Singh Randhwa, but none quite met the mark. Finally, Ajay and his team have identified the ideal storyline for the sequel and are on the verge of making an official announcement. Notably, the sequel will introduce an entirely fresh narrative with a new cast and crew. The sole connection between the two films will be Ajay Devgn, reprising his role as a devoted sardaar."
