From postponed releases to closings, new shooting rules, and more, a lot has happened on the tinsel this year. In the midst of this, Hindi cinema has gifted us with some of the most amazing movies of the year. Despite all the hurdles and big releases making their way into the digital world, the entertainment industry has played a huge role in keeping us entertained.

And now, as we approach the new year, Bollywood is creating many interesting films that are eager to hit the big screen in all genres, including KGF: Chapter 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Vidya Balan's as-yet-untitled project with Pratik Gandhi, and more. Although the current situation of the COVID 19 pandemic has taken its toll on theatrical openings, these films are still among the most anticipated releases and are expected to welcome audiences in 2022. Starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nushrratt Bharuccha in the foreground, Ram Setu. The film features Akshay Kumar as an archaeologist who appears to be on a journey to learn more about Ram Setu. Speaking about the film, producer Vikram Malhotra said: "Ram Setu is an adventurer of large-scale entertainment. It is exactly the kind of setting that will bring people back to theaters. I cannot divulge the details of the content, but it is a kind of film that balances traditional Indian cinema values with entertainment values and a progressive mindset. It is an ideal candidate for which people will find streaming in cinemas attractive."

Jersey

 

This actor Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur is the Bollywood remake of the National Award-winning sports drama Jersey, starring Nani. This film by Gowtam Tinnanuri will appear as a witness in the role of a cricketer. Jersey was scheduled to be released on December 31, 2021. However, it was postponed due to an increase in COVID 19 cases.

Gangubai Kathiawadi

 

On the occasion of Alia Bhatt's first collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi will feature the actress in the title role. The film is based on a chapter in Hussain Zaidi's book, The Mafia Queens of Mumbai, which is about a woman named Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Directed by Ayan Mukherji it was one of the most anticipated releases of all time. Starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Moni Roy at the helm, this fantasy drama turns out to be a trilogy. Brahmastra, which marks the first on-screen collaboration between Alia and Ranbir, will also feature Nagarjuna Akkineni in a lead role.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush turns out to be a legendary drama inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana. It features Prabhas as Adipurush, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana and is said to be one of the most expensive Hindi movies of all time.
