In an interview, Miley openly discusses her inclination towards the LGBTQ community and her sexuality. Miley is a passionate activist and her own identity struggles led her to become involved in such communities. She loves it there she says.

Speaking in her interview she says "My entire life, I didn't understand my own sexuality. I always despised the word 'bisexual,' because that's even putting me in a box. I don't ever think about someone being a boy or a girl."

She opens up on her views on sexuality and adds "Also, my nipple pasties and s**t never felt sexualized to me. I had a clear vision in the fifth or sixth grade. My first relationship in my life was with a chick. I grew up in a very spiritual Southern family."

Miley is now engaged to Liam Hemsworth. Miley says she wasn’t ever clear about her identity unless she met other people who thought just like her or were experiencing the same emotions like herself.

She has said in her interview that "I went to the LGBTQ center in L.A., and I started listening to these stories. I saw a human in particular who didn't identify as male or female. They were both: beautiful and sexy and tough but susceptible and feminine but masculine. And I related to that person more than I have felt related to anyone in my life."

"Even though I may seem very unusual, people may not see me as unbiased as I feel. I think that was the first gender-neutral person I ever met. Once I understood my gender more,  then I understood my sexuality more. I was like, 'Oh—that's why I don't feel straight and I don't feel gay. It's because I'm not.'"

Miley is proud to be who she is and admits it openly. She takes it as one of the most empowering experiences of her life. Miley says her empowerment comes from feeling like she has a purpose now. She adds, “On my tombstone, I didn't want the 'Wrecking Ball' lyrics. I rather wanted it to be something greater. I'm the only f--king Disney star who will say I'm pro-lesbian and gay, before it was OK to say something like that."

Miley is one of the least judgmental people observing from her statements and is open to anything and anyone. She doesn’t care about controversies or what people have to say. Miley says she judges a person with what she personally experiences and not by what people have to say

She has worked with Woody Allen for Amazon's Crisis in Six Scenes which has also affected her personally she adds, "I live a life similar to Woody—I live a public life. Until I know someone or their story, I never really judge anyone. That's kind of how I went into it."

We must appreciate a strong woman like Miley Cyrus who is setting examples of liberal thoughts and an open yet healthy lifestyle and community.
