Prabhas is a Tollywood superstar and is known for his excellent acting career in Telugu Cinema also known as Tollywood. He started his acting career in 2002 with his debut in Eeshwar. Early Life

Prabhas’s real name is Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati. He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu India on October 23, 1979. He was born as the last child of Siva Kumari and Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju. He was brought up in Hyderabad along with his 2 older siblings; Pragathi and Pramod Uppalapati. Prabhas is the nephew to the famous Telugu actor, Krishnam Raju Uppalapati.

He received his education at the DNR School of Business Management, Bhimavaram. He received his higher education from Sri Chaitanya College of Engineering and Technology located in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Prabhas has not been married yet but has been rumored to have dated Anushka Shetty and Illeana D’ Cruz in the past.

Film Career

Prabhas had aspirations of venturing into business and had little inclination towards films. Though he belongs to a family with a filmy background, his father Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju was a famous filmmaker. He made his debut with 2002 Telugu movie Eeshwar. He did not stop there, his next movie Raghavendra was released in 2003. But he received his fame in 2004 through his co-lead role in the well acclaimed Tollywood romantic action film Varsham. This movie made the film makers and audience both to recognize Prabhas’s acting skills. Ever since then he has been winning the hearts of his fans.

Prabhas has appeared in over 20 films since his 2002 and is one of the simplest yet acclaimed actors in Telugu cinema.
