Pulkit Samrat: Let me enjoy my ‘Singlehood’

After making impressing the audience in movies like ‘Sanam Re’, ‘Fukrey’ and ‘Bangistan’, handsome Pulkit Samrat is gearing up for his next romantic comedy ‘Veerey Ki Wedding’. The movie is about to hit the theatres on March 2, 2018. The actor spoke about his role and movie before its release. Here is the excerpt-

How you became part of ‘Veerey Ki Wedding’?

The last one to be selected for this movie was me! The entire cast was already finalized when I got selected for ‘Veerey Ki...’. In 4 days, I got selected for the title role. The movie got the typical Delhi wedding feel to it. The songs are awesome along with the script. Keeping all these things in mind, I signed the movie.

What you have to say about your beautiful co-star Kriti Kharbanda?

Kriti is an amazing actress. It was a memorable experience to work with her. We shared awesome chemistry on-screen as well as off-screen.

How is the action in the movie?

The action has been directed by Abbas Bhai. I learned a lot from him. He has styled action differently and realistically.  

What feedback you received from your near ones?

The people who are close to me are my biggest critics. My parents, my brother always give their honest opinion regarding my work. They never shy away from being frank about my performance in any project.

Had you ever thought that ‘Fukrey’ will be such a big hit at the box office?

Never! We never thought that the movie will do such big business, but it moved with rocket speed. After few days, I literally stopped counting the figures. Audience was watching the movie again and again in the theatres.

When is ‘Fukrey 2’ coming?

We have locked Mrigadeep Lamba, (Director ‘Fukrey’) in a room and ordered him to write the sequel.

Do you regret not being associated with any project?

No, whatever work I have done till now has helped me in growing as an actor.

Are you single?

Yes, I am very much single. Let me enjoy my singlehood. I want to experience how being single feels like!

 Will you be part of Salman Khan Movies in future?

I truly believe that if he (Salman Khan) feels that I am apt for a role, he will definitely offer it to me.
