The Title Track Gets a Grand, Old-School Launch
Rajshri Productions and Himesh Reshammiya Melodies unveiled a motion poster for the film's title track ahead of a special live launch event held on September 20 at Mumbai's Royal Opera House. Rather than going the usual route of a simple digital premiere, the makers chose to unveil the song through a full live musical evening, with Himesh Reshammiya himself performing alongside a 25-piece orchestra.
That choice says a lot about the film's identity. Yeh Prem Mol Liya isn't trying to feel like a slick, modern release. It's leaning fully into the old-school, melody-first tradition that Rajshri Productions and director Sooraj R. Barjatya have built their name on for decades.

What's the Film About?
Directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, Yeh Prem Mol Liya is being positioned as a musical family entertainer, a genre Barjatya has more or less defined in Hindi cinema through films like Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The makers have built the story around themes of love and family, with music expected to carry much of the emotional weight throughout.
Ayushmann Khurrana plays a character named Prem, continuing a naming tradition closely associated with Barjatya's films, while Sharvari plays opposite him. The two are sharing screen space together for the very first time, giving the film a fresh pairing to lean on alongside its familiar genre.

Meet the Cast and Crew
Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari lead the film, backed by Himesh Reshammiya's music, which is a central part of the film's identity rather than just background support. This marks Reshammiya's reunion with Sooraj Barjatya after a full decade, their last collaboration being Prem Ratan Dhan Payo back in 2015.
The film is produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films. Reports suggest the album features seven original songs composed by Reshammiya, all built around a brief calling for music that feels simple, soulful, and genuinely accessible to a wide audience, rather than chasing current trends.
Why Ayushmann Called It a Film for "Bharat," Not "India"
At the title track launch, Ayushmann Khurrana made a comment that's since caught a fair bit of attention. He said that Himesh Reshammiya understands emotion and mass sentiment better than perhaps any other composer working today, and that when he first heard the story narration from Sooraj Barjatya, he was struck by how unusual the title sounded. He added that once he heard the actual title track, he was completely convinced no better title could have worked, calling it a film made for Bharat rather than India, precisely because of the collaboration between Barjatya and Reshammiya.

Sharvari, for her part, described the experience of performing on stage to Reshammiya's music as deeply special, adding that she'd grown up listening to his songs and considered it an honour to be part of one of his compositions herself.
That "Bharat, not India" framing fits the film's whole approach. It's less about chasing an urban, English-speaking audience, and more about speaking directly to the heartland sensibility Rajshri Productions has always been associated with.
When Can You Watch It?
Yeh Prem Mol Liya is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 27, 2026. With the title track launch now done and Reshammiya's music already generating conversation, the film's promotional rollout looks set to lean heavily on its songs in the weeks leading up to release.
