What Is Isakapatnam About? Full Story Explained
The new Telugu series follows Isakapatnam which is a small town governed by the feared Naidu, portrayed by Samuthirakani. Naidu has dominated almost every area in the town, earning him both fear and admiration. Nonetheless, his daughter Bharathi, portrayed by Aishwarya Rajesh, harbors aspirations that differ from those of her father.
In contrast to Naidu, she aims to transform the town by supporting the underprivileged and those in need. Conversely, Peddanna, portrayed by Naresh Agastya, is a driven auto driver who dreams of becoming a politician to improve the town. Yet as tensions rise in Jetty Yard, Kobbari Thota, and Burma Camp, long-hidden truths emerge, resulting in startling discoveries and painful meetings.
New Telugu Series Isakapatnam Review
As the new Telugu series Isakapatnam dropped on Prime Video, audiences started sharing their opinions on social media. Some users appreciate it while others show their disappointment.
What Works?
- The series has a dark and gritty backdrop with politics, power struggle, and emotional trauma.
- The show becomes more engaging after a major twist, even if it feels predictable.
- The core idea of a daughter shaped by trauma and a father hiding his past has potential.

What Doesn’t Work:
- The story starts with promise but soon becomes predictable and repetitive.
- The first few episodes take too long to build the world and struggle to keep you invested.
- Many twists are easy to guess, so the impact feels weak.
- The show tries hard to look intense and gritty, but the writing doesn’t always support it.
- At 7 episodes, the series feels stretched in parts and could have been tighter.
Should You Watch Isakapatnam?
In my opinion, you should watch this new Telugu series Isakapatnam if you enjoy dark political crime dramas, slow-burn family conflict, and stories about power, trauma, and revenge.
But if you prefer fast-paced thrillers with unpredictable twists, this one may not fully work for you.
