The Golden Globes 2025 was truly exciting as the deserving TV shows, films, actors, and productions were honored. The nomination list was disclosed earlier, and the audience had no uncertainties about the selection, as many would likely concur with it.

Adrien Brody appears to be the highlight of the evening, as the actor's role elevates “The Brutalist” significantly. The film was nominated for seven awards, and Brady Corbet took home the award for best director, while the film won the award for best drama. Adrien Brody was honored with the award for best actor.

Director Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light did not win any awards at the Golden Globes 2025, even with its two nominations. Following the Golden Globes oversight, Payal posted a photo with her producers on Instagram and expressed her feelings about the loss. She handled it gracefully and noted that she enjoyed herself a great deal at the esteemed award ceremony held on January 6 in Beverly Hills, California.

Following the award ceremony, Payal posted a photo featuring Thomas Hakim, Julien Graff, and Ranabir Das, the producers of All We Imagine As Light. She stated, "We didn't win anything but had so much fun.”

Conversely, Selena Gomez demonstrated her skills in the musical theater "Emilia Perez," which turned out to be quite captivating. It emerged as the most nominated movie of the evening, present in ten categories. Out of the 10, the film secured 4 wins and it was exceptional. The movie received the prize for best non-English film and musical. Zoe Saldana's outstanding performance earned her the award for best supporting actress.

“Shogun” delivered the boldest performance by winning in all four categories it was nominated for. Nonetheless, the other major shows did not perform as well as “Shogun,” since ‘The Bear’ received only one Golden Globe despite being nominated in 5 categories. There's also “Only Murders in the Building,” which garnered nominations in four categories but did not win any.

What no one anticipated was Fernanda Torres receiving the Best Actress award for “I’m Still Here,” while “Challengers” won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. Can you believe it? Demi Moore has just won her inaugural Golden Globe award, thanks to her incredible performance in “The Substance.”

“Wicked” appears to be a major success at the box office, garnering significant commercial achievement among viewers of all age groups. It triumphed over the nominated films, including “Deadpool & Wolverine, The Wild Robot, Alien: Romulus, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Inside Out 2, and Twisters.”

“Emilia Perez” clinched this category, with competing nominations including “All We Imagine as Light, The Girl With the Needle, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, I’m Still Here, and Vermiglio.” Each of these regional films is genuinely fascinating.

Fernanda Torres received this award for “I’m Still Here.” The competition was certainly fierce with other star actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Pamela Anderson, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, and Tilda Swinton.

As previously stated, Adrien Brody obtained this award for "The Brutalist," the film that distinguished itself in the finals. Brody triumphed over Timothee Chalamet, Daniel Craig, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, and Sebastian Stan. All of them delivered an outstanding performance for their individual roles.
