Summers are perfect for those imperfect messy beach curls. The curls that you will adore and want to keep all year round. But if you have porous hair or have really thin hair, you might have a tough time keeping those curls intact. Even if you manage to solve that problem with a ton of hairspray, getting a head full of gorgeous curls is no piece of cake. It takes a lot of practice and patience to get those messy waves. If you are not careful enough you might end up with unnatural looking thick curls. Here are 4 ways that will help you achieve it:
- For this first DIY you won’t need a curling iron, all you need to do is grab some pens from your desk. Section out your hair into thin strips and wrap it around each of the pens individually and secure with a pin or a clip. This process is best done on wet hair; wash it the night before and leave the pens on for a good 8-9 hours. In the morning you will end up with naturally wavy hair. Additionally, you can also use some hairspray for a more long-lasting curl.
- For the second DIY, you will need some bobby pins that you have lying around in the house. Wash your hair with a good volumizing shampoo of your choice and let it dry. Only when your hair is three-forth dry take thin sections of it and form them into loops using your index finger and your thumb. Pin those loops into your head with the help of a bobby pin. Repeat this process until all your hair is done into loops. Now, to keep those loops undisturbed, cover them up in a silk scarf for 7-8 hours.
- If you don’t have a curling tong at hand but a hair dryer is available to you then this hack is perfect for you. Section out your hair into 4- 6 halves depending upon the thickness, take your rolling brush and roll out one section of the hair at a time. Place your hair dryer on the brush and roll your hair downwards gently twisting the hair. Do this a couple of times on each section until you are happy with the results.
- This DIY is probably the easiest one of all. All you need is some hair ties and a hairspray. First of all, comb your hair and make sure that you are leaving no tangles behind. Then section it into two or more units and start braiding each one of them. A basic braid will do the job but make sure that you make tight braids and not lose ones. Now leave them overnight and you will be greeted with soft curls in the morning. You can use some hairspray to help it hold the shape better.
