The full inventory is expected to open later today, which should push those numbers even higher.

If the current momentum holds, trade watchers believe the film could open anywhere between Rs. 8 to 10 crore nett on day one. If it crosses that Rs. 10 crore mark, Endgame Encore would set the record for the biggest opening day ever for a re-released film in India, overtaking Baahubali: The Epic's earlier record.

Why a Seven-Year-Old Film Is Suddenly Breaking Records

Here's what makes this genuinely fascinating. Avengers Endgame was already the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India when it first released back in 2019. Since then, it's been overtaken by Avatar: The Way of Water and, more recently, by Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Business Planning & Strategy at PVR INOX, didn't hold back on his expectations. He predicted the film would blow past every previous re-release record without any doubt, crediting the surge partly to what he called a genuine sense of streaming fatigue among audiences. According to him, people are tired of watching everything at home and are actively looking for reasons to step out for a proper theatrical experience with friends and family.

What This Means for Avengers: Doomsday

This isn't just good news for Endgame's own box office run. Gianchandani also pointed out that this kind of response makes the outlook for Avengers: Doomsday, releasing later this year, look extremely promising.

If a seven-year-old re-release is generating this much excitement, the appetite for a brand-new Avengers film releasing amid a stacked December lineup, alongside titles like Dune: Part Three and Jumanji: Open World, looks set to be massive.

A Quick Word on Those "Leaked" Extra Scenes

Ahead of release, a few entertainment leak accounts have claimed that Endgame Encore includes a newly shot ending along with two extra post-credits scenes, allegedly tying into future MCU storylines.

It's worth being cautious here, though, since none of this has been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, and these claims are circulating purely as unverified rumours rather than confirmed additions. If you're planning to watch the re-release, it's probably best to go in without putting too much weight on speculation like this.
