He can't see her decision as anything but betrayal, and the film tracks exactly how far that thinking can spiral. Written and directed by Abhirup Ghosh, it's being pitched as an unconventional, reckless kind of romance, more thriller than love story by the time it's done.

Set in 1980s Secunderabad, it follows a marginalised community fighting systemic discrimination, with Nani playing Jadal, a fierce, unlikely figure who ends up leading the resistance. Director Srikanth Odela is reuniting with Nani here after Dasara, and going by the early buzz, this is shaping up to be a properly violent, high-stakes period drama.
