Best 7 Gujarati Movies on Netflix India to Stream Now

Gujarati cinema has grown beyond light-hearted family dramas and comedies. Today, Gujarati movies on Netflix India showcase powerful storytelling, unique genres, and meaningful performances.

From psychological thrillers to heartfelt coming-of-age stories, these films prove that Gujarati cinema is evolving in exciting ways. Here’s a simple and professional look at some of the best Gujarati films you can explore.

1. Vash

IMDb Rating: 7.8/10

 Vash

Moving on to this weekend's next release, I made the decision to start this year with Gujarati flicks. I then concluded my viewing of the recently released Gujarati movies on Netflix India Vash at a nearby theatre.

The comedic and family-friendly films that have been popular over the past few years are the ones you typically connect with Gujarati cinema. It is uncommon to witness a Gujarati movie attempting to explore and try out diverse genres.

The family's parents come across as a little one-note in comparison to the other actors, and the movie contains some melodramatic moments that accidentally turn into humour.

2. Vash Level 2

IMDb Rating: 7.2/10

Vash Level 2

Atharva discovers twelve years after rescuing his daughter Arya from a malevolent power that never left her. He has to battle to save her again when the bizarre events start up again. They appear to be driven by fierce passion and superhuman strength, overwhelming everyone and everything in their path.

Like the start of a bad dance practice, the attack is instinctive and unplanned. Their school clothes become a warning sign. The parents are afraid; the police have no idea. Atharva, meanwhile, is still in a state of emotional limbo after losing both his wife and son. He is also taking care of his daughter. But when a new dark magician enters in the scene of  Vash Level 2, things take a bad turn.

3. Dhh

IMDb Rating: 7.6/10

 Dhh

In the endearing tale Dhh, three friends-Gungun, Bajrang, and Vakil-believe they are failures until the Magician enters the picture. The three of them think that this magician is the only one who can assist them. Vakil, Bajrang, and Gungun are not very good at studying. When they find out that their favourite magician, Surya Samrat, is performing in a nearby town, they decide to skip school and travel there to see his show. They believe that only the magician can use his magic tricks to help them pass the final exams, so they write to him for assistance. They get gifts and a response. In order to help them in exams, the magician instructs them to teach a little doll all they need to learn.

4. Court

IMDb Rating: 7.6/10

Court

The lives of the judge, the attorneys, and the accused collide when an elderly activist is arrested, exposing prejudice that highlights the legal system. A judicial proceeding is playing out in front of you in a stochastic setting in the courtroom.

You are satisfied with a large portion of the hearing. You are fully involved in what is happening. You see a clerk tinkering with her cell phone in the background, unaware that a court case is taking place in front of her, somewhere between a lawyer's argument and a judge's general statement. The lawyers' speech almost challenges you to remain up. The stolidity of the case itself is astounding. Jargon is frequently used in the discussions, some of which may not even be pertinent. You can watch this one of the best Gujarati movies on Netflix India, court in Hindi and English subtitles also.

5. Chhello Show

IMDb Rating: 7.4/10

Chhello Show

In search of brightness, Samay battles both heaven and earth. In order to tell stories, he wants to capture, manipulate, chop, and project that light. He must now abandon everything he holds dear and fly in search of the light in order to fulfil his goal. (Oscar Shortlist Nominee.) A nine-year-old boy from the Saurashtra village of Chalala is an avid moviegoer. You can watch this one of the best Gujarati movies on Netflix India, chhello show in Hindi and English subtitles also.

But unlike other children, he finds the screen and projector- the accumulated axis of his world- to be fascinating both in front of and behind him. He gets up and looks at the projector while watching Jai Mahakali, a legendary drama, with his family; the swirling lights captivate him. Even though films are democratic, cinephilia is still mostly a privilege of the wealthy, particularly in a nation like India.

6. Last Film Show

IMDb Rating: 7.4/10

 Last Film Show

Last Film Show offers it all: films, cuisine, friendship, family, and the future. Being enthralled with a film brings us more emotional highs and lows than anything else. Last Film Show, which tells the partially autobiographical tale of writer-director Pan Nalin, is set in the isolated Indian countryside in 2010.

It narrates the tale of nine-year-old Samay, a free-spirited child whose life completely changes after seeing a Gujarati Movies on Netflix India at the nearby Galaxy Cinema. He starts skipping school to see films and stealing money from his father's failing teashop. Samay quickly becomes fixated on light and films. For suburbanite Sammy Fabelman, owning his own camera is out of the question. He comes up with a new method to make films with amazing inventiveness.

7. Subh Aarambh

IMDb Rating: 6.7/10

Subh Aarambh

While getting married, a young girl attempts to repair her prospective in-laws' failing 28-year-old love marriage. A girl named Riddhima, a marriage counsellor, is at the center of the movie's plot. A family film would be ideal in large, boisterous, glittering Indian weddings.

Suraj Barjatya and Yash Raj Films have both generously capitalised on the concept of marriage-themed films. I'm not sure why, but up until now, this concept hasn't been mentioned in our so-called urban Gujarati films. This Gujju NRI wedding drought is broken by Amit Barot's revitalising "Subh Aarambh."

Gujarati cinema is no longer limited to comedy and family drama. The rise of diverse storytelling has made Gujarati movies on Netflix India more exciting and meaningful than ever.
