She was the second-place contestant in MTV Splitsvilla 10 and launched her acting career with the horror web series Ragini MMS: Returns 2.

In 2017, Divya encountered actor Priyank Sharma during MTV Splitsvilla 10. They reportedly had a brief relationship but separated when she joined Bigg Boss 11.

In the latest episode, Divya clashed with Archana Gautam and Bhavya Singh, with the latter revealing startling accusations regarding her private life. Bhavya referred to Divya as a 'gold-digger' and asserted that she does not reside with her husband, Apurva Padgaonkar.

The conflict began when Divya quarreled with Archana and claimed that Archana lacks intelligence during the Bail and Buddhi challenge. The remark did not sit well with Bhavya Singh, who had been on good terms with Archana, and she resolved to give Divya a lesson. Later, while Divya was weeping in the washroom, Bhavya declined to hand her any tissues.

Later, during a conversation with Sapna Choudhary and Aarya, Bhavya commented on Divya and remarked in Hindi, "She’s such a phony person - it's no surprise people refer to her as a gold digger." I asked her this on a podcast, and you can find it on record - if she'd consider participating in a reality show again.
She responded, ‘No, I will not. "I have already triumphed in Bigg Boss." What have you actually accomplished? Completing all that PR and scheduling pap spotting just to ensure you’re noticed occasionally. You haven’t achieved anything in life. She’s a false woman, being insincere with everyone. "Now she’ll join everyone and complain about them." She subsequently made startling accusations regarding Divya's married life.
