Storyline Of IT: Welcome To Derry With Pennywise

The It franchise, which is based on the horror book by renowned author Stephen King, is one of the most well-known names in the world of horror and mystery. The story centers on Pennywise, a shape-shifting clown who returns to the town of Derry every 27 years to prey on its residents' deepest fears.

Now the character is back once again, this time just in time for Halloween, with the new series It: Welcome to Derry. This new HBO Max series is set in 1962—27 years before the events of the first It movie. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise, alongside Taylor Paige, Jovan Adepo, and Blake Cameron James.

The story is about the time when the people of Derry first felt the fear that would haunt the town for decades to come. The franchise began with the film It 2017, set in the summer of 1989.

It tells the story of a group of kids called the Losers Club—children who are somewhat out of touch with society but band together to face the terrors of their town. When a child named Georgie Denbrough suddenly disappears, the kids realize their town is haunted by nothing but a terrifying clown who thrives on human fear.
