In the next scene, JamieLee Curtis and LindsayLohan wake up with their bodies contorted. But this time Anna. swap happens with her own daughter Harper (Julia Butters), and Tess.swap happens with Harper's friend Lily (Sophia Hammons) as well.

That's the spirit of this four-way body swap comedy. New twists emerge in the new scenes as the two teenage girls get caught in confusing comic situations in their mothers' bodies, while Tess has to understand the emotions of teenagers. They arrive on a motorcycle, remove their helmets and the atmosphere heats up as Jake is identified. The story also makes it clear that this is not just a comedy, but also an emotional journey: stories of new families, identity and seeing oneself in the life of another.

Disney organized a premiere event of Freakier Friday at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles. Freakier Friday is releasing in theaters on 8 August 2025 in cinemas and  the movie is produced by Disney. The movie's cast Jamie Lee Curtis and she returns to the role of Tess once again. Lindsay Lohan also makes her iconic return as Anna. Julia Butters plays Harper, who represents a new generation. Sophia Hammons will appear as Lily, while Chad Michael Murray will surprise viewers with a special cameo.
