Imagine this: A big Bollywood film is about to hit theatres… but the lead actors are nowhere to be seen! No interviews, no TV appearances, no red carpet buzz. Strange, right?
Well, that’s exactly what’s happening with Saiyaara — Mohit Suri’s latest romantic drama featuring fresh faces Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.
But here’s the twist — despite zero promotions, the film is breaking records even before release! Turns out, this bold no-promotion strategy wasn’t a fluke — it was a smart move inspired by Aashiqui 2.
Curious why they took this risk? Want to know if the gamble is paying off? Let’s dive into the love, music, numbers, and the secret behind Saiyaara’s silent storm at the box office.

Given the advancements, the film is now expected to debut in the range of 20-25 crores net, with a solid chance of starting closer to the upper end of the estimate. Trade specialists also think the opening could be significantly higher, as the film has momentum on its side, potentially surpassing even the optimistic forecast, which remains to be seen
Reason Behind Not Promoting Saiyaara
Director Mohit Suri’s latest romantic drama Saiyaara is creating a massive buzz as it hits theatres, especially because it stars two fresh faces – Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. But here’s something that has caught everyone’s attention: the debut actors didn’t show up for any promotional events. No interviews, no reality shows, no media glare. And now, the director has finally revealed why.
In a recent interview with Just Too Filmy, Mohit Suri shared that this was not a last-minute change or due to any scheduling issue – it was a planned move by the makers. He explained that since both Ahaan and Aneet are new in the industry, putting them in front of the media without any experience or stories to share wouldn’t make much sense.

Suri said, “It was a collective decision. My producer Akshaye Widhani and Aditya Chopra, who’s guided us through the journey, felt that if they promote the film now, the interviews will only have questions like ‘Who was the prankster on set?’ or ‘How was it working with Mohit Suri?’ – all things that don’t really matter or interest the audience.”
The idea was to let the film speak for itself and let the audience judge the newcomers based on their performances rather than pre-release hype. This tactic reminds many of the strategy used during Suri’s earlier hit Aashiqui 2, where the focus was kept on the music and story instead of aggressive promotions.
With advance bookings already looking strong, Saiyaara might just prove that sometimes, less is more when it comes to film promotions.
Saiyaara Advance Booking Collection
It appears that Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s first film is surpassing all predictions, as Saiyaara’s advance booking statistics present a bright outlook on launch day. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie has already sold more than 3.8 lakh tickets, spread over 7850 shows.
This raises the total revenue from advance sales to Rs 9.39 crore, and when including the funds from the block seats, the figure increases to Rs 12.49 crore. If trends continue, director Mohit Suri anticipates a prosperous first day and weekend. The movie, featuring two completely fresh actors, might earn upwards of Rs 20 crore on opening day, which is nearly unprecedented.

The Saiyaara music album features a variety of tunes, aiming for contemporary romance, but many tracks fail to resonate with our emotions effectively. Absolutely, it certainly strikes a chord and will be that extreme, spontaneous infatuation that lingers in your thoughts for a long time! The album features seven tracks in total – five original songs and two reprise versions sung by female vocalists.
In a world full of hype, Saiyaara proves that sometimes silence speaks the loudest. This one’s a love story worth watching — no noise, just magic.
