Assault on Pranit More

In a surprising twist, Pranit disclosed on Tuesday (February 4) that he was assaulted and threatened after making a joke about Veer during one of his performances. Pranit's team used Instagram to disclose the information regarding the event.

The post states that Pranit was assaulted following his performance in Solapur on February 2, 2025. Approximately 11-12 individuals posing as fans came near him and began to strike and kick him.

The message states that Tanveer Shaikh was the leader of the gang and they warned Pranit not to joke about Veer Pahariya anymore. One of the men replied, "Next time, show me by cracking a joke about Veer Pahariya Baba."

The post asserts that the location of the event lacked security and is refusing to release CCTV footage. The post additionally states that they contacted the police for assistance, but received none.

Veer Pahariya's response

Shortly after Pranit's post appeared, Veer claimed he has no connection to the incident. He also expressed remorse to Pranit and his supporters. His message stated, "I am genuinely astonished and heartbroken by the incident involving Comedian Pranit More. I want to emphasize unequivocally—I was not part of this, and I firmly denounce any kind of violence. As a person who has consistently handled trolling with humor, found amusement in it, and expressed kindness even to my detractors, I would never advocate or endorse any harm towards anyone, especially someone within the same creative community.

Veer Pahariya on Pranit More attack

The actor also said, "To Pranit and his supporters—I sincerely apologize for this situation. Nobody merits this. I will personally make sure that those responsible are held accountable.

Veer is the grandson of ex-Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde. Prior to his acting debut in Sky Force, he served as an assistant director on the 2022 film Bhediya, featuring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
