Chhaava First Poster Buzz

The team behind Vicky Kaushal's film 'Chhaava' released the initial poster featuring actress Rashmika Mandanna, who will portray Maharani Yesubai in the movie.

Vicky Kaushal's historical film 'Chhaava' is among the most awaited movies of this year. Following the announcement of the film's release date a few days back, the creators have now revealed the initial glimpse of the 'Geetha Govindam' actress via Instagram.

Draped in a red saree and adorned with elaborate jewellery, Rashmika appears regal in the poster. She will portray Maharani Yesubai in the movie. The film is scheduled to debut in theaters on February 14.

Maharani Yesubai was the spouse of Maratha leader Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, known as Chatrapati Maharani of the Maratha Empire.

 

In the collection of images, the actress displayed various emotions. In the first image, Rashmika appears to be smiling, while in another, she looks upset and heartbroken.

Using their Instagram account, Maddock Films revealed the release date for the film's trailer.

"Behind every remarkable king, there is a queen of unparalleled strength." Presenting @rashmika_mandanna in the role of Maharani Yesubai - the honor of Swarajya. #ChhaavaTrailer Releases Tomorrow! "Debuting in theaters on 14th February 2025," wrote Maddock Films while posting the poster.

Vicky will portray Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the forthcoming epic drama 'Chhaava'. Created by Maddock Films and helmed by Laxman Utekar, the movie features Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna as well.

'Chhaava' is described as a "moving story of the brave warrior whose crowning on this day in 1681 signified the start of a legendary rule."

Regarding his involvement with the film, Dinesh Vijay, the founder of Maddock Films and producer of Chhaava, stated, "I am incredibly proud to narrate the tale of India's Chhaava through a film that celebrates the unwavering legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.”

In anticipation of its December 2024 release, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on Twitter to share his review of the Chhaava trailer, praising the 'strong' preview.

This movie is inspired by Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi book ‘Chhaava’. Helmed by the renowned director Laxman Utekar, ‘Chhaava’ is produced by Dinesh Vijan and boasts music by the iconic A.R. Rahman. The movie is set to be released on February 14th.

As Chhaava gears up for its release on February 14, 2025, audiences are eagerly anticipating a powerful portrayal of bravery, legacy, and love. Rashmika’s Maharani Yesubai promises to be a standout performance in this epic tale.
